Product Description
As pictured. Not a dash cap but the real dash. Fits perfectly and shows well installed. Much better to have this in place than cracked and faded units seen so often in Firebirds of the same era.
1- This dash appears to have been redyed.
2- Stereo opening is intact and the plastic structure holding the instrument cluster, various accessories and the glove box area, is intact with no cracks.
3- On the passenger side. the vinyl has uplift in the very far end where it meets the windshield cowl. The same is true for the driver's side, only much less evident.
Both of the areas mentioned have been repaired at the edges with black structural adhesive.
4- Driver's side instrument cluster area, near the AC outlet has a crack that has been repaired. See picture.
5- Passenger side has three studs for retaining the dash. One of the studs is missing. You can transfer that stud from the dash you are removing to this replacement unit. No problem.
6- This dash is correct for 1970-77 because of the stereo openings. Also, it has no provision for the power antenna relay mount which goes on the upper side of the glove box opening from the back side of the dash.
